Studio Remedy founded in 2019, Here is the story of how it all started. Firstly, I鈥檇 like to introduce myself. My name is Lauren the founder and owner of Studio Remedy. Starting my own design business had always been a dream of mine. Setting your own hours, travelling, designing without creative limitations and truly connecting with clients of my own.
I had worked for two design agencies prior and realised a conventional 9-5 would never satisfy me. The lifestyle is too limiting and I gain inspiration from nature, travelling and the ocean. All of which were not accessible from a fluorescent light cubicle. Needless to stay I needed to take the leap and start my business.
But where do I start? How do I pay the bills? How can I get the most out of my inner creative and produce the best designs I can for my newly found clients. I had the idea to purchase a van and become a digital nomad, van life style. Combining all the things I love and gaining inspiration from the road, all while starting to build my very own business. Yes, I definitely dove right into the deep end.
I had packed up my room in Melbourne, and hit the road with hopes of gaining inspiration and guidance on my new found path. During my travels throughout Australia, I had meet fellow business owners and gained immeasurable knowledge from people to be considered success stories. I went to an enormous amount of beaches, little towns, waterfalls, and islands.
Not to say I didn鈥檛 have the van life low-points.. Van breakdowns, flat tyres, poor Internet connections, to name a few. But my desire for freedom and breaking convention outweighed any possible temporary downfalls I would face.
During my time on the road, I managed to put together everything to launch a healthy freelance creative studio. I gained my first clients, I worked on my first projects, I studied and took short courses. My style began to develop, inspired by my ever changing surroundings.聽All my hard work paid off. I am living my dream life.
Currently writing this from a cafe on the south coast of Nsw. Because I am now free to travel as I please. Constantly nourishing my inner creative and in appreciation of where I started and how far I have come.
I hope this helps you to take the leap and do what you have always dreamed of but to scared to do. You will never regret following your dreams and never give up on making them a reality.
With love, Lauren. xx

A motivating discussion is worth comment. I believe that you ought to write more on this topic, it may not be a taboo matter but generally people do not talk about such issues. To the next! All the best!!
