Tell us about your creative business?
Lua Studio creates jewellery that honours those who are passionate about love, unity, peace, and equality worldwide. Each collection is thoughtfully designed, blending beauty with a unique theme or virtue. It’s crafted to bring joy and a sense of connection to anyone who wears it. Starting this journey has been incredibly rewarding, as it has allowed me to create jewellery that deeply reflects the values I am passionate about.
Why did you get started?
I started Lua Studio because I wanted to create jewellery with meaning and purpose—something beyond just beautifully crafted pieces. I believe jewellery has an incredible power to hold personal significance, reflecting a person’s values, experiences, and beliefs. I’ve always been drawn to designing pieces that embody this idea. Each collection is made with intention, focusing on themes that deeply connect with me. My hope is that when people wear them, they feel joy, inspiration, and a deeper connection to what truly matters in their lives.
Can you walk us through your career and how you ended up here?
Sure thing! After I finished my fashion course, I jumped right into the fashion design and production scene. It was such a cool experience to see how a design goes from an idea to the real deal. I worked closely with design teams and learned all about bringing a vision to life. But after a while, I felt a bit disconnected from that side of things, so I switched gears and focused more on retail and sales.
I got to work with some amazing fashion brands and eventually opened my own boutique, showcasing luxury labels from Australia and around the world. During that time, I really grew to appreciate design and craftsmanship, which sparked my passion for creating my own jewellery line that mixes beauty with meaning.

How did you learn your craft?
I learned my craft through a mix of formal education and a lot of hands-on experience in the fashion industry. After finishing my studies, I worked in different roles, from design and production to retail and sales. These experiences really helped me understand the full creative process and gave me a deep appreciation for design and craftsmanship. I’ve always kept learning as I go, and each experience has shaped the way I approach jewellery design today.
Can you tell us about your process?
This is my favourite part of creating because it’s a journey where I get to dive deep and learn so much along the way. By the time I finish a collection, I always feel like I’ve discovered something new about myself and the theme I’m exploring. The process usually starts with a quote or passage that I’ve read somewhere. I often find inspiration in words that touches my heart. When something moves me, I feel inspired to create around that theme. From there, I do some research, start sketching, and play with different shapes, textures, stones, and finishes. Each collection is about capturing the essence of its original inspiration.
Have you always been creative? How did you nurture this throughout your life?
As a child, I was always creating—drawing, crafting, and coming up with little projects. Over the years, I’ve nurtured it by staying curious, exploring new things, and finding inspiration in everyday beauty. Giving myself space to explore, make mistakes, and grow has kept that creative energy flowing, shaping both my work and how I connect with the world around me.

What is the best piece of advice you could offer for someone looking to start a
creative business?
Just dive in and really embrace the process! Having a clear purpose and offering something authentic. When you create with intention and heart, your work will resonate with others and make a positive impact.
What inspires you?
I draw a lot of my inspiration from the Baha’i Writings. As I’ve mentioned, I really enjoy poetry and philosophy, especially in the area of personal growth, with the intention of spreading and encouraging spiritual values that exude positivity.
